When you’re picking wines for pizza, think about ingredients. Consider the sauce – is it tomato-based, flavored with oil (garlic) or an herb-based seasoning (pesto)? And how about toppings – are you using meats (spicy, salty) and/or vegetables – and what kind of cheese (mozzarella, goat cheese)? Once you have considered the ingredients, you can determine the pie’s “personality” and select a wine accordingly. When it comes right down to it, it’s all about what you like, so come join us for this fun and very popular wine pairing. Join us for a Wine & Pizza Pairing at the Winery featuring wood-fired pizza from Gemelli Bakers. Seatings are at 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, and 4pm. Cost is $12/person. Call the winery at (814) 466-6373 to make a reservation. A credit card is required to hold your reservation. No cancellations will be accepted after 5:00 pm, Tues. May 8th.
