“Libby’s Holiday Rose” 


1 bottle Mount Nittany Winery’s Rock Hill Rose
1 cup simple syrup
1/4 c Tait Farm’s Ginger Shrub
Spice packet: 6 cardamom pods, 6 whole cloves
2-3 cinnamon sticks

Tie up spice packet in paper coffee filter or cheese cloth; tie with long, sturdy string. Combine wine, syrup, ginger shrub and spice packet. Heat gently and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Do not allow to boil when heating.

“Libby’s Blueberry Christmas Glogg” 

one bottle of Mt. Nittany Winery’s Blueberry wine
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons orange zest
1 cinnamon stick
6 whole cloves
4 to 6 cardamon pods
4 whole star anise pods
15+ golden raisins
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1” peeled and sliced into thirds

Add all ingredients except vanilla extract to a pot and bring to a simmer over medium/low heat, stirring occasionally. Do not boil! Stir in the vanilla extract. Turn off heat and cover with a lid. Let the Glogg set in pot for about an hour or so. This will allow the flavors to develop. The only thing left to do now is enjoy a mug!! Cheers & Happy Holidays!
